Running a small business is a wild ride. Instead of just telling you how it all started, we thought a little poem would be more fun:
Once upon a time, near Valentine’s Day,
Ariel got dumped in the saddest way.
Her sister Hannah, determined and kind,
Set out to lift her spirits and ease her mind.
But the hunt for a gift was SUCH a chore,
With hours in store and the post office a bore.
Hannah wondered, in her moment of doubt,
Could a personalized care package be sent out?
And the rest is history!
What started as a simple idea to bring a smile to my sister’s face has since grown into something much bigger—Happy Box is now a thriving business with a deep commitment to our community and our customers. Here are some fun facts about how our journey unfolded:

Happy Box was founded by two sisters, Hannah & Ariel Redmond, from New Jersey, and our bond is the foundation of everything we do. We are a family business through and through, and that spirit of sisterhood extends to the way we run our company.

We are incredibly proud to be a certified women- and minority-owned business. Diversity and inclusion are core to our identity, and we strive to pave the way for others like us in the entrepreneurial world.
🛍️ Humble Beginnings:
Our journey started modestly, with our first sales made on Etsy. What began as a side hustle from our apartment—often working late into the night to pack and ship orders—has grown into a full-fledged business. We are also 100% self-funded, which is no easy feat!
